22 Chhattisgarh Police Officers Honored with Gallantry and Service Medals

State secures maximum gallantry awards; Chief Minister congratulates the recipients

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 26, 2025: In recognition of their exceptional service and bravery, 22 officers and personnel of the Chhattisgarh Police Department have been honored with prestigious awards on the occasion of Republic Day 2025. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu announced the awards, which include 11 Gallantry Medals, one President’s Distinguished Service Medal, and 10 Commendable Service Medals.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations to the officers and employees, praising their dedication and contribution to maintaining law and order in the state.

Chhattisgarh achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the highest number of Gallantry Medals, reaffirming the courage and commitment of its police force. Alongside, one officer received the “President’s Distinguished Service Medal” (PSM), while 10 others were recognized with the “Commendable Service Medal” (MSM). These accolades highlight the state’s excellence in police services at the national level.

In the Home Guard and Civil Defence category, Chhattisgarh was also honored, with one officer receiving a Commendable Service Medal for contributions to emergency services.

The awardees for Gallantry Medals include officers and personnel who displayed extraordinary courage, particularly in Bastar and Dantewada, areas known for their challenging security scenarios. The recipients of the President’s Distinguished Service Medal and Commendable Service Medals were recognized for their unwavering commitment to excellence in policing and operational efficiency.
