State Election Commissioner to Review Poll Preparations in Surguja and Surajpur

Mr. Ajay Singh to inspect strong rooms, polling stations, and hold meetings with officials

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 30, 2025: Chhattisgarh State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh will visit Surguja and Surajpur districts on January 30 to assess election preparations for the upcoming urban body and three-tier panchayat elections. During his tour, he will inspect strong rooms and polling stations while also reviewing the overall election process and security arrangements.

Mr. Singh, accompanied by officials from the State Election Commission, will travel from Raipur to Ambikapur by government aircraft at 10 a.m. Upon arrival, he will conduct inspections from 11 a.m. to 12 noon before convening a review meeting with the Divisional Commissioner, Inspector General of Police, Collectors, District Election Officers, Superintendents of Police, and Returning Officers.

At 12 noon, he will proceed to Surajpur by road, where he will inspect polling facilities from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by another round of discussions with senior officials to evaluate administrative preparedness for the elections.

Following the review, Mr. Singh will return to Ambikapur and fly back to Raipur by 5 p.m. His visit aims to ensure smooth and efficient electoral arrangements ahead of the voting process.
