Arun Dev Gautam Appointed as Chhattisgarh DGP as Ashok Juneja Retires

State government issues order; Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extends best wishes to outgoing DGP

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 4, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government has appointed Shri Arun Dev Gautam as the new Director General of Police (DGP) following the retirement of Shri Ashok Juneja. According to an official order (No. F 1-07/2018/Do-Home/BJP) issued by the Home (Police) Department on February 4, 2025, Shri Gautam, who currently serves as Director General of City Army and Civil Defense and holds additional charge as Director of Public Prosecution, will now take over as the Chief of the State Police Force until further orders.

Meanwhile, outgoing DGP Shri Ashok Juneja paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Mantralaya on his retirement day. Chief Minister Sai extended his best wishes, acknowledging Shri Juneja’s invaluable contributions to strengthening the state’s police force. He praised Shri Juneja’s leadership in enhancing operational efficiency and law enforcement capabilities in Chhattisgarh.

The farewell meeting was attended by senior officials, including Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the CM Shri Subodh Singh, Additional Director General of Police Shri Amit Kumar, and Secretary to the CM Shri Rahul Bhagat.
