TFP Bureau, Prayagraj, February 9, 2025: As the Maha Kumbh 2025 at Prayagraj continues to draw millions of devotees, the Union Government has rolled out a special scheme to provide high-quality ration at affordable prices. Under the initiative, the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) is distributing essential food items such as wheat flour, rice, and pulses at subsidized rates. The distribution process has been made highly accessible, with devotees able to place orders via WhatsApp or phone calls.

Efficient Ration Distribution with Mobile Vans and Easy Accessibility

To ensure no devotee faces food shortages during the religious gathering, NAFED has deployed 20 mobile vans across the Mahakumbh area, delivering rations directly to ashrams and devotees. The mobile vans, which cover the entire Prayagraj area, ensure that everyone from saints to kalpavasis has access to timely food supplies.

Rohit Jain, the state head of NAFED, emphasized that the initiative, led by the Ministry of Cooperation, is designed to alleviate any food-related concerns during the event. Deepak Agrawal, the Managing Director of NAFED, is personally overseeing the operation to ensure smooth and timely distribution.

Subsidized Rations for Devotees

Devotees can place orders for subsidized rations through the helpline number 72757 81810. The available rations include 10kg packets of wheat flour and rice, as well as 1kg packets of moong, masoor, and chana dal. Once an order is placed, the mobile vans promptly deliver the rations to the designated locations, making the process highly efficient.

So far, more than 1000 metric tons of rations have been distributed, including 700 metric tons of wheat flour, 350 metric tons of pulses, and 10 metric tons of rice. NAFED’s products, including the popular ‘Bharat Brand’ grains, are quickly gaining popularity among the devotees for their quality and affordability.

A Smooth and Convenient Experience for All

This special government scheme is designed not only to provide high-quality rations to the millions of devotees attending the Maha Kumbh but also to ensure the process is as convenient and accessible as possible. With mobile vans and the ability to place orders via phone or WhatsApp, the scheme aims to make the Maha Kumbh 2025 a smooth and memorable experience for everyone.
