TFP Bureau, Ahmedabad, 12 Feb 2025: In a significant step toward bolstering India’s skilled workforce, Adani Group has announced a partnership with Singapore’s ITE Education Services (ITEES) to develop the nation’s largest skill and employ program. The initiative, focused on creating a pipeline of industry-ready talent, will receive a massive donation of INR 2,000 Cr from the Adani family to establish world-class vocational training centers across India.
The newly created Adani Global Skills Academy will serve as a platform for training students with technical and vocational backgrounds, equipping them with industry-relevant skills for sectors including Green Energy, Manufacturing, Hi-tech, and Industrial Design. The goal is to ensure that these trainees are ready to step into the workforce, meeting global standards of excellence from day one.
The program’s first phase will see the establishment of the world’s largest technical finishing school in Mundra, Gujarat, with the capacity to train over 25,000 students annually. The academy will cater to fresh graduates and diploma holders from ITIs and Polytechnics, offering them a specialized, intensive bootcamp designed to prepare them for various roles across industries and services.
In collaboration with ITEES, which brings decades of expertise in vocational training, the academy will offer cutting-edge facilities such as innovation centers, AI-based simulators, and mixed reality-based learning experiences. The fully residential campus will cater to both students and faculty, providing an immersive learning environment.
“Through this partnership with ITEES, we aim to create a continuous pipeline of skilled professionals ready to meet the evolving demands of the global job market,” said Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills & Education. “This initiative aligns with our commitment to the ‘Make in India’ vision and will contribute to the development of a skilled, industry-ready workforce.”
Suresh Natarajan, CEO of ITEES, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We are excited to share our expertise and knowledge in skills education with Adani. Together, we aim to enhance skill development and make a lasting impact on education and the workforce.”
The Adani Group’s initiative is set to transform the landscape of vocational training in India, supporting the country’s growth as a global manufacturing hub.
