
TFP Bureau,Raipur, February 21, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today virtually inaugurated a four-bed dialysis center at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Kunkuri, marking a significant step in improving healthcare services in the region. The event, held at the CM Camp Office in Bagiya, aims to reduce the need for patients from Kunkuri and surrounding areas to travel long distances to places like Ambikapur or Ranchi for treatment.
Improving Accessibility to Health Services
In his address, CM Sai emphasized the government’s commitment to making healthcare services more accessible to people in remote areas. “With the opening of the dialysis center in Kunkuri, local patients will no longer have to endure long journeys for essential treatment,” said CM Sai. He added that this is part of the state government’s broader efforts to expand and enhance medical facilities in Jashpur district. The Chief Minister also announced plans for a 220-bed modern hospital in Kunkuri, which will further improve healthcare access in the area.
New Dialysis Center to Benefit Kidney Patients
The new dialysis unit in Kunkuri is part of the National Health Mission’s ongoing initiative to provide free dialysis services to the district’s poor and needy. Currently, Jashpur district is home to a 5-bed dialysis unit at the District Hospital, a 3-bed unit at the CHC in Pathalgaon, and now, a 4-bed unit at Kunkuri CHC. The addition of the Kunkuri center is expected to serve over 75 kidney patients, offering them convenient access to dialysis without having to travel great distances. In total, 18,171 dialysis sessions have been administered to 217 patients across the district.
On this occasion, Raigarh MP Radheshyam Rathia, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Surguja Development Authority Vice President Krishna Rai, MLA Gomti Sai, newly elected Duldula BDC Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, along with other local public representatives and villagers, attended the inauguration ceremony.
