TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 2, 2025: The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Mayor and Councillors of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation concluded today at PG College Hockey Stadium in Ambikapur. In a grand event, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh graced the occasion, with Collector Shri Vilas Bhoskar administering the oath to Mayor Smt. Manjusha Bhagat and the councillors in groups of eight.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai expressed that this ceremony symbolizes public trust, democratic values, and a strong commitment to the development of the city. He reaffirmed the city government’s dedication to fulfilling all promises made in the ‘Atal Vishwas Patra’. “The Mayor and councillors will live up to the faith placed in them by the people,” he said. He further emphasized that the collective efforts of all will be crucial in transforming Ambikapur into a clean, smart, and prosperous city.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, while congratulating the newly elected public representatives, highlighted the importance of transparency and effective administration for the city’s progress.
The ceremony was also attended by Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Surguja MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj, Ambikapur MLA Shri Rajesh Agarwal, Lundra MLA Shri Prabodh Minj, Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Chairman Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, along with other public representatives and dignitaries.
