
TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 9, 2025: In a significant step towards fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance in the state, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai announced the formation of the Entrepreneurship Commission in Chhattisgarh. The commission will focus on strengthening the state’s entrepreneurial culture, creating employment opportunities, and providing skill development and employment training to the youth.
The announcement was made during the All India Executive Council meeting of Swadeshi Jagran Manch at Agrasen Dham in Raipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released the book “Swadeshi Ki Vikas Yatra”, which highlights the historical journey of the forum.
Swadeshi Vital for a Developed India and Chhattisgarh
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that to achieve the vision of a “Developed Chhattisgarh and Developed India by 2047,” adopting Swadeshi principles is crucial. He praised the Swadeshi Jagran Manch for its relentless efforts in promoting self-reliance and indigenous industries.
“The vast natural resources, along with the world’s largest youth population, give India an unprecedented opportunity for innovation and industrialization,” said the Chief Minister. He also noted that the changing global dynamics make the role of national institutions like Swadeshi Jagran Manch more important than ever.
From Make in India to Self-Reliant India
The Chief Minister highlighted that the “Make in India” campaign, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, had played a pivotal role in fostering indigenous production. “India is now self-reliant in almost every sector, thanks to the government’s encouragement of industrialists, provision of necessary facilities, and support for local industries,” he added.
Bastar Region to Benefit from Indigenous Industries
The Chief Minister also called on Swadeshi Jagran Manch to assist in the development of Naxal-affected areas. He expressed optimism that with the help of the new state policies and the security forces’ efforts, Naxalism has been confined to a small area. “It’s time to establish industries in these areas to provide local youth with employment opportunities and prevent them from turning to Naxalism,” he urged.
Chhattisgarh’s New Industrial Policy to Prioritize Employment
Shri Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy is designed to leverage the state’s natural resources and meet regional needs. The policy prioritizes employment generation and simplifies the process of setting up industries through a single-window system. Special incentives are being offered to encourage the use of local resources.
Honoring Entrepreneurs and Promoting Innovation
During the program, successful entrepreneurs from various fields were honored with the “Entrepreneurship Promotion Award.” Chief Minister Shri Sai reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting youth and innovation-driven startups in the state.
Present at the meeting were National Convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch Shri R. Sundaram, All India Organizer Shri Kashmiri Lal, Chhattisgarh State Convenor Shri Jagdish Patel, along with distinguished entrepreneurs, professors, vice-chancellors, and experts in the field of economics.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh is not only advancing as an industrial hub but is also reinforcing the vision of a self-reliant India by embracing Swadeshi.
