Justice Ramesh Sinha takes oath as Cheif justice of CG’s Highcourt
29/03/2023; Bureau Report: Allahabad High Court Senior Judge at Lucknow Justice Ramesh Sinha took oath as the Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court on Wednesday.
Governor of Chhattisgarh Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Ramesh Sinha on a function held in the Raj Bhawan Wednesday evening. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, his ministerial colleagues, former Chief Minister Raman Singh and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The Union Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointments of three Chief Justices of Chhattisgarh, Patna and Allahabad High Court on Friday.
Justice Sinha, Graduated in Law from Allahabad University in 1990 and enrolled as an advocate on Sep 08, 1990. He practised in civil and criminal side at Allahabad High Court and elevated as Additional Judge on Nov 21, 2011. He took oath as Permanent Judge on Aug 06, 2013.
After retirement of Justice Arup Kumar Goswami of CG’s High Court on Mar 10, 2023 Collegium of the Supreme Court has recommended the appointment of Justice Ramesh Sinha as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court on Feb 9, 2023.
