Shala Praveshotsav: Adani Foundation’s Project Utthan Distributes Notebooks to Over 600 Children
Apart from this, materials for sports, writing, reading, reading, musical instruments etc. were made available for the extra-curricular activities of the children.
TFP Bureau Raigarh, July 23, 2023: The month-long School Entrance Festival is being celebrated in all schools of Chhattisgarh state for the current academic session. As part of this festival, the Government Primary School and Pre-Secondary School in Supa, Pusaur development block, kickstarted the school entrance festival program on Friday. Under Project Utthan by Adani Foundation, a total of 161 children were provided with notebooks during the event. In the coming week, an additional 486 children will also receive notebooks as part of the Shala Praveshotsav program in other schools. Adani Power Limited, Raigarh, in collaboration with the education department and Pusaur, is implementing the upliftment project in eight government primary and pre-secondary schools in nearby villages such as Badebhandar, Amlibhauna, Sarwani, Jevaridih, Supa, and Kathli. The project aims to improve basic literacy and numeracy skills among the students.
During the school entrance ceremony, newly admitted students were welcomed by the complex in-charge and the headmaster of the Government Higher Secondary School, Mr. Ram Prasad Sao, by putting tilak on their foreheads. The program was attended by Mr. Padmalochan Patel, Principal of Middle School, Mr. Hurdanand Patel, Principal of Primary School, Mrs. Chandrika Bai Ratre, Sarpanch of Supa, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Garg, HR Head from Adani Power Limited, Raigarh, and Mr. Purnendu Kumar, CSR Head. Mr. Ram Prasad Sao, the chief guest, commended the Utthan project by Adani Foundation, stating that it will encourage children and enhance education. Mr. Ghanshyam Das Garg, HR Head of Adani Power Limited, Raigarh, urged the children to study well and strive for a bright future. He also mentioned that Adani Foundation has provided materials for extracurricular activities, including sports, writing, reading, and musical instruments, as part of Project Utthan. The program was organized with the assistance of Vivek Pandey, Nilesh Mahana, Parmeshwar Gupta, and Utthan Sahayak from Adani Foundation.
Adani Foundation, under the social partnership of Adani Power Limited-Raigarh, is running various programs for quality education, health, livelihood promotion, and infrastructure development. Additionally, mobile medical vans are being operated to provide excellent healthcare facilities.
