Union Minister Unveils NMDC’s New Logo: Paving the Way for Sustainable Mining
TFP Bureau New Delhi, August 4, 2023: The Union Minister of Steel and Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, graced the unveiling ceremony of the new logo of the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) today in New Delhi. Joined by esteemed officials, including Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, and Shri Amitava Mukherjee, CMD of NMDC, the event marked a significant milestone in NMDC’s journey.
In his address, Minister Scindia congratulated Team NMDC on their dynamic new logo, highlighting that the logo’s unveiling is a seminal moment for any organization as it symbolizes its values and aspirations. He praised NMDC’s evolution since its inception and acknowledged the significance of the previous logo, which represented India’s growth over the last 75 years, emphasizing reducing dependence and fostering self-reliance.
The new logo embodies NMDC’s vision of NMDC 2.0, signifying the company’s preparedness for global-scale mining in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. It communicates NMDC’s commitment to responsible mining practices in harmony with nature and communities, ensuring mineral security, accountability, and promoting self-reliance in the sector.
Minister Scindia noted India’s transformation from a developing nation to a developed one, attributing it to the herculean efforts of the Prime Minister. He emphasized India’s shift from being a follower to a leader on the global stage, with the nation ready to shoulder not only domestic but also global responsibilities.
