Ambikapur Receives New Amenities: Indoor Stadium and Digital Library Unveiled in Youth-Centric Meet

TFP Bureau, Ambikapur, 22 August 2023: In a momentous event underscoring the commitment to youth development, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel revealed significant infrastructure advancements for the Surguja division during a dynamic meet-up with local youth. The event took place at the PG College Hockey Stadium in Ambikapur, where the Chief Minister announced the construction of an indoor stadium, mirroring Raipur’s sports infrastructure, at an estimated cost of ₹100 crore.

An extraordinary development was the unveiling of an innovative digital library, aligning with the ever-evolving educational landscape. The announcement came as a boon for the students of Ambikapur, providing them with an invaluable resource for research and learning.

Addressing a pressing educational concern, the Chief Minister declared the initiation of a residential college specifically catering to deaf children at the state level. This crucial endeavor is in response to the dearth of educational facilities available to this marginalized community. Presently, only schools cater to their needs; however, this strategic move is poised to create a lasting impact on their academic journey.

In a bid to bolster the educational infrastructure, government B.Ed colleges will soon grace all districts within the Surguja division, promising enhanced teacher training and quality education delivery. Complementing these efforts, a Wushu Sports Academy is set to debut in the District Headquarters Surajpur, fostering the growth of sports enthusiasts.

Promoting legal education, the Chief Minister revealed plans for a Law College to be established in the Manendragarh Chirmiri Bharatpur district. This initiative aims to encourage the pursuit of legal knowledge and expand opportunities for aspiring lawyers.

The meet-up also provided a platform for engaging discussions with youth. Tamanna Singh, a student from KR Technical College who faces physical challenges, advocated for a state-level residential college for the deaf and mute community. Responding empathetically, the Chief Minister committed to realizing this need. Another student, Sonu Kumar, raised the issue of medical care for visually impaired students. The Chief Minister assured thorough medical examinations and subsequent treatment.

While addressing queries about his personal interests, Chief Minister Baghel shared his passion for music and reading biographies of eminent individuals. Despite his busy schedule, he expressed a preference for spending quality time with family and indulging in reading, finding solace in the lives of great personalities.

The youth’s warm welcome was manifest through cultural performances, highlighting their connection to Chhattisgarh’s heritage. The enthusiasm of the youth was palpable as they showcased their musical talents and artistic flair.

Ahead of his birthday, Chief Minister Baghel was treated to an unconventional celebration – a cake crafted from millets. This gesture was a tribute to the Chief Minister’s commitment to promoting the Millet Mission in Chhattisgarh.

The meet-up underscored the Chief Minister’s unwavering dedication to the betterment of the youth. With promises of improved educational opportunities, sports infrastructure, and cultural engagements, the event left an indelible mark on the hearts of Ambikapur’s youth, fostering a sense of hope and aspiration for a brighter future.
