Ministry of Steel Secretary Commends RINL Collective’s Remarkable Efforts During Inaugural Facility Visit

TFP Bureau, Visakhapatnam, August 23, 2023: Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, the Secretary of the Ministry of Steel, extended his praise and appreciation to the dedicated workforce of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) during his inaugural visit to the facility on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. The visit was marked by a comprehensive tour of RINL’s key production units, including Coke Oven Battery 5, Blast Furnace 2 & 3, SMS-2, the new Air Separation Unit, and Wire Mill. Shri Sinha also took time to explore the model room and awards gallery, further underscoring his commitment to understanding the company’s operations.

In a series of meetings and reviews conducted in the company of RINL’s Chief Managing Director, Directors, and senior officials, Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha was quick to commend the organization for its outstanding standards. Notably, he lauded RINL for maintaining a pristine and organized plant, a sentiment that resonates deeply with the employees. His well-wishes for RINL’s trajectory were accompanied by a vision for the plant to become the nation’s premier steel production facility through enhanced productivity.

Engaging with various stakeholder groups, including the Steel Executive Association, diverse trade unions, the OBC Association, and SC/ST Associations, Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha personally acknowledged and praised the RINL collective for their unwavering commitment to upholding cleanliness and order within the plant premises. He affirmed his dedication to addressing the concerns expressed by these groups, highlighting his intent to consider and respond to their needs.
