Prime Minister Narendra Modi Commends Newly Inducted Recruits as ‘Amrit Rakshak’

TFP Bureau New Delhi; August 28, 2023: In a significant move aimed at bolstering the country’s central armed police forces (CAPFs) and ensuring a secure environment, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to freshly inducted recruits through a virtual event. This momentous occasion unfolded as part of the Rozgar Mela held across 45 locations nationwide, organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The event aimed to infuse personnel into central armed police forces including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), as well as the Delhi Police. The recruits, selected from across the country, are set to assume roles such as Constable (General Duty), Sub-Inspector (General Duty), and Non-General Duty Cadre Posts across various organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed individuals, hailing them as ‘Amrit Rakshak’ during the ‘Amrit Kaal’ (Golden Era). He underscored the significant role these appointees would play in both serving and protecting the nation. “You are ‘Amrit Rakshak’ of this ‘Amrit Kaal’,” he emphasized.

Highlighting the critical responsibilities associated with serving in the defense and security forces, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the forces’ efficacy. He mentioned the revolutionary changes in the recruitment processes of paramilitary forces, emphasizing expeditious recruitment from application submission to final selection. This revamp includes conducting examinations in 13 local languages, rather than exclusively English or Hindi, thus broadening access and opportunity.

The Prime Minister delved into the connection between a secure, law-abiding environment and rapid development. Drawing from examples such as Uttar Pradesh, he stressed how enforcing the rule of law has catapulted states from lagging in development to scaling new heights of growth. The Prime Minister correlated a decline in crime rates with increased investments, underlining the critical link between public security and economic progress.

He highlighted sectors poised for growth, including pharmaceuticals, automotive and auto components, food processing, and infrastructure. The Prime Minister affirmed that these expansions would translate into increased employment opportunities, ushering in a positive impact on citizens’ lives.

Reflecting on the past nine years, PM Modi showcased India’s remarkable strides in exports, a testament to the growing demand for domestically produced goods on the global stage. He celebrated the booming mobile manufacturing sector and expressed confidence in replicating this success across the IT and hardware manufacturing sectors. The Prime Minister also lauded the transformative effects of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which he deemed instrumental in propelling economic empowerment and employment opportunities across villages and underserved segments of society.

In closing, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of continuous learning and physical fitness for the newly inducted recruits. He encouraged them to engage with the IGOT Karmayogi portal, which offers over 600 courses, and underscored the value of incorporating yoga into their daily routines.

The Rozgar Mela serves as a pivotal step towards fulfilling the government’s commitment to employment generation, providing vital opportunities for youth empowerment and national development. This strategic move is set to bolster CAPFs and Delhi Police, fortifying their multidimensional roles in internal security, counter-terrorism, insurgency combat, and border protection.

The distributed appointment letters are accompanied by the opportunity to train through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, hosting over 673 e-learning courses, making learning accessible ‘anywhere, any device.’ As India celebrates the Amrit Mahotsav marking 75 years of independence, this distribution of appointment letters stands as a testament to the nation’s unwavering commitment to progress, security, and prosperity.
