In Kabirdham district, these groups, such as Mahalakshmi and Kusum Mahila Gram Sangathan, have been instrumental in crafting vibrant rakhis that have found immense popularity in local markets. The demand for these intricately designed rakhis has resulted in substantial earnings, with sales amounting to Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000. The rakhis’ visual appeal has garnered widespread admiration, leading to swift sales upon their market debut. This phenomenon underscores the triumphant success of these entrepreneurial initiatives.

Kabirdham district’s Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) is spearheading innovative economic pursuits, providing villagers with alternative livelihood opportunities. The crafting of rakhis by women’s SHGs stands as a testament to RIPA’s commitment to empower local communities and promote self-sufficiency.
