Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit Development Unveiled in Champaran: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel Promotes Cultural Heritage
TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 29, 2023: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the commencement of construction within the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit in Champaran, a historically and religiously significant region in Raipur district. The Chief Minister also actively participated in the Champaran Ramayana Festival, further bolstering the region’s cultural and spiritual prominence.
The opening ceremony took place at the revered Shri Champeshwar Mahadev Temple grounds, while the Ramayana Mahotsav unfolded at Government School village Daganiya Champaran. The event was punctuated with captivating cultural performances, including a group rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa by Manas Mandali, a soul-stirring Ram Bhajan by Shri Prabhanjay Chaturvedi from Bhilai, and a mesmerizing presentation by Ms. Shanmukh Priya from Mumbai.
Reflecting on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel expressed, “The ongoing construction of the Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit across Chhattisgarh, beginning with Chandkhuri and extending to Champaran, highlights our commitment to preserving our rich heritage. The unveiling of the grand Ram statue and the presence of Champeshwar Mahadev contribute to the spiritual sanctity of the area.”
During the event, Chief Minister Baghel also announced that the Champeshwar Mahadev Temple Trust would manage a cafeteria on a not-for-profit basis, enhancing the offerings available to visitors.
He emphasized that Champaran’s identity as the birthplace of Lord Vallabhacharya attracts people from around the world. To cater to these visitors, the region’s infrastructure will be developed as a thriving tourist destination. He proudly shared the efforts of the Badal organization in safeguarding tribal traditions and culture, including the restoration of the Ghotul and the organization of a national-level tribal dance festival.
Highlighting another feat, the Chief Minister stated, “We introduced the nation’s inaugural Ramayana Mahotsav, reflecting our belief in divinity’s omnipresence. Our service extends to all, even through challenging times like the pandemic.”
Commending the state’s citizens on Rakhi Tihar, Chief Minister Baghel affirmed, “Our government is dedicated to the well-being of every individual in Chhattisgarh. Your trust in me to serve fills me with gratitude.”
Addressing the gathering, local MLA Mr. Dhanendra Sahu applauded the Chief Minister’s initiative in developing the Ram Van Gaman Path, tracing Lord Ram’s passage through Chhattisgarh. He celebrated Champaran’s evolution into a Panchkoshi Dham and the substantial developmental projects worth crores of rupees infused into the region by Chief Minister Baghel.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Culture Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat, Lok Sabha MP Mr. Deepak Baij, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Mr. Atal Srivastava, Gau Sewa Ayog Chairman Rajeshree Dr. Mahant Ram Sunder Das, and State Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Mr. Nand Kumar Sai.
