Adani Foundation successfully organizes sports competitions in Basen village on the occasion of National Sports Day
TFP Bureau, Ambikapur; August 31, 2023: Adani Foundation successfully organized sports competitions in Basen village on Tuesday under the Utthan project on the occasion of National Sports Day. More than 75 students of classes 4 to 8 of the government school in Basen village participated enthusiastically in sports competitions such as shot put (shot put), running and kabaddi. The purpose of this program was not only to promote a healthy competitive environment, but also to promote physical health and fitness among local youth participants. National Sports Day is celebrated every year on August 29 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand, the legendary hockey player of India. This day is also dedicated to the sports heroes and champions of the country, who honor their contribution and dedication in bringing pride to the country.
In this program, the teachers of Utthan project Raju Tirkey, Manoj Mahant, and Abhishek Jaiswal, along with village representatives, attended and encouraged the players.
On this occasion, Raju Tirkey said, “This program is an important effort to raise awareness among youth about sports and physical fitness, which can promote positive energy and community spirit. I urge Adani Foundation and Utthan project to continue organizing such sports events in the future, which can inspire young people to live a healthy and active life.”
