Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel Ranks Second in Home State Popularity

TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 2, 2023: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh has witnessed a remarkable surge in his popularity within the state, securing the second position among Chief Ministers rated most popular in their respective home states. This revelation comes from a recent survey conducted by India Today, which unveiled an impressive 59.1 percent satisfaction rate among respondents regarding Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s performance. This marks a substantial rise in his popularity compared to the previous year’s survey, where he achieved a rating of 55.7 percent.

The India Today Group carried out this survey to assess the performance of Chief Ministers in their home states, and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s consistent rise in popularity reflects the growing trust in his government’s effectiveness. In the preceding year, he garnered a satisfaction rate of 55.7 percent, indicating a steady ascent in public approval.

In a survey conducted by India Today, the Chief Minister of Odisha holds first place, the Chief Minister of Delhi ranks third, the Chief Minister of Gujarat ranks fourth, and the Chief Minister of Assam ranks fifth in the survey. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s strong performance and increasing popularity have positioned him as one of the most beloved leaders in the state of Chhattisgarh.

One of the pivotal contributors to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s burgeoning popularity is the Chhattisgarh Government’s triumphant endeavors in poverty eradication. Over the past 4.5 years, this administration has successfully lifted 40 lakh individuals in the state out of multidimensional poverty. This commendable feat has been achieved through an array of NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) schemes, including the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana, Godhan NYAY Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiheen Krishi Majdoor NYAY Yojana, Unemployment Allowance schemes, and Rajiv Mitan Club. These initiatives directly benefit villagers, farmers, cattle herders, women, youth, and forest produce collectors across Chhattisgarh.

To support these initiatives, the state government has disbursed an impressive total of Rs. 1.75 lakh crore to the beneficiaries of these schemes. This substantial investment has translated into tangible improvements in the lives of the state’s residents, fostering economic prosperity and overall well-being.
