Union Home Minister Amit Shah Launches Fiery Attack on Congress in Raipur Address
TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 2, 2023: In a charged event held at the Deendayal Auditorium in Raipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah did not hold back as he unleashed a scathing critique of the Congress party and its governance in Chhattisgarh. Shah’s fiery speech was marked by pointed accusations against the state government for alleged failures in delivering on its promises, leading to the decline of Chhattisgarh.
Shah, who mourned the state’s apparent regression under Congress rule, drew a sharp contrast with the developmental strides achieved during Dr. Raman Singh’s BJP leadership. He characterized Chhattisgarh’s current state as that of a “sick state.”
During his address, Shah did not mince words in asserting that the Congress government had been mired in allegations of misconduct and unfulfilled pledges throughout its five-year tenure. In a direct challenge to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Shah called for a comparative assessment of the achievements of their respective governments over the past decade, suggesting that the Congress government had fallen short.

Shah stressed that if the Congress administration had achieved even a fraction of the progress realized by the BJP in five years, it could assert a legitimate claim to governance.
The Home Minister’s speech also revolved around the BJP’s pledge to rejuvenate Chhattisgarh’s developmental trajectory with the release of a comprehensive charge sheet. He celebrated 15 years of work aligned with the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision and noted that the BJP had earned the trust of Chhattisgarh voters thrice, winning nine out of eleven Lok Sabha seats in 2019.
Shah argued that Chhattisgarh had strayed from its path of development, becoming a political ATM for Delhi. He emphasized the need to recalibrate the state’s development, urging Chhattisgarh’s citizens to choose a government committed to promises to tribal communities, refraining from religious conversions, eradicating corruption in the name of backward class welfare, and ensuring transparent skill development practices.
The Home Minister did not shy away from accusing the Congress government of initiating corruption and black scandals, drawing a contrast with the BJP’s record of delivering food rations to every household, a feat attributed to former Chief Minister Raman Singh.
Shah also raised concerns about the alleged misuse of government resources, specifically in sending Chhattisgarh’s youth to Dubai for online betting. He called for a thorough investigation into these practices.
Highlighting the BJP’s achievements, Shah pointed to an increase in working days under the MNREGA scheme, along with the party’s commitment to substantial reservations in Panchayat elections and urban bodies. He challenged the accomplishments of the current government in these areas.
In a significant announcement, Union Minister Amit Shah reaffirmed the BJP’s unwavering commitment to unveiling and exposing instances of corruption and misconduct within the Congress party. This announcement took center stage during the event, where a comprehensive ‘charge sheet’ was officially unveiled, meticulously documenting instances of corruption allegedly linked to the Congress party.
Concluding his address, Shah issued a final challenge to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, inviting him to respond publicly to the allegations and questioning the state’s progress during ten years of Congress rule in comparison to the advancements made under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Shah cited the opening of bank branches, post offices, and new roads as tangible evidence of the BJP’s dedication to Chhattisgarh’s growth.
