In the academic year 2023-24, Chhattisgarh boasts a total of 726 schools, comprising 377 excellent English medium schools and 349 Hindi medium schools. Within these institutions, 170,000 students are enrolled in English medium programs, while 220,000 students opt for Hindi medium instruction. These schools have been thoughtfully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including spacious playing fields, modern laboratories, and extensive libraries, particularly in the English medium schools.

Pioneered by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the Swami Atmanand Excellent Government English Medium Schools have significantly eased the financial burden on parents. Moreover, students attending these institutions are experiencing holistic development, honing their talents, and enhancing their overall personas.

This scheme has notably bolstered the self-confidence and self-esteem of children hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Students of Swami Atmanand English schools have consistently achieved top positions in board examinations. The incorporation of smart classrooms, modern infrastructure, well-maintained libraries, expansive sports facilities, and top-notch laboratories has established these schools as centers of advanced learning.

Unsurprisingly, these government schools are rapidly gaining popularity among both students and parents throughout the state. By implementing this initiative, the Chhattisgarh government is ensuring that quality education is accessible to all, regardless of their financial circumstances, thereby promising a brighter future for many.
