Prime Minister’s Itinerary in Madhya Pradesh:

The Prime Minister’s visit to Madhya Pradesh will commence in Bina, where he will arrive around 11:15 AM. In this industrial town, he will lay the foundation stone for various projects collectively valued at over Rs. 50,700 crore. Among the prominent initiatives, he will inaugurate the ‘Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery,’ a groundbreaking project by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). This state-of-the-art refinery, with an estimated cost of Rs. 49,000 crore, will contribute significantly to the production of approximately 1200 KTPA (Kilo-Tonnes Per Annum) of ethylene and propylene. These vital components have applications in various sectors, such as textiles, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and more. Importantly, this move aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ by reducing import dependence and creating employment opportunities.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for several other transformative projects in Madhya Pradesh. These include the ‘Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone’ in Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore (IT Park 3 and 4), a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, and six new industrial areas in different regions of the state. The ‘Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone’ will cost more than Rs. 460 crore, stimulating economic growth and job creation.

The IT parks in Indore, with an approximate investment of Rs. 550 crore, will propel the IT and ITES sector, offering new employment avenues for the youth. The Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, valued at over Rs. 460 crore, is poised to become a hub for sectors like textiles, automobiles, and pharmaceuticals. With its strategic connection to the Delhi Mumbai Expressway, it is expected to drive economic development and generate employment opportunities.

Furthering the goal of balanced regional development, Madhya Pradesh will witness the development of six new industrial areas in Shajapur, Guna, Mauganj, Agar Malwa, Narmadapuram, and Maksi, collectively costing approximately Rs. 310 crore.

Prime Minister’s Agenda in Chhattisgarh:

In Chhattisgarh, the Prime Minister will land in Raigarh around 3:15 PM, focusing on enhancing connectivity and healthcare services. He will dedicate crucial rail sector projects worth approximately Rs. 6,350 crore to the nation, accentuating the importance of improved transportation infrastructure. These projects include the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, the 3rd rail line between Champa to Jamga, the 3rd rail line between Pendra Road to Anuppur, and the MGR (Merry-Go-Round) system connecting Talaipalli Coal Mine to NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station (STPS).

The Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, a component of the PM GatiShakti initiative, encompasses a 124.8 km rail line from Kharsia to Dharamjaygarh, featuring a spur line to Gare-Pelma and three feeder lines connecting Chhal, Baroud, Durgapur, and other coal mines. This rail line, constructed at a cost of about Rs. 3,055 crore, will facilitate coal transportation from Mand-Raigarh coalfields in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, and elevate socioeconomic development.

The third rail line between Pendra Road to Anuppur and the 98 km third line between Champa and Jamga will enhance regional connectivity, fueling both tourism and employment opportunities.

In a significant boost to energy security, the 65 km electrified MGR (Merry-Go-Round) System will transport high-grade coal from NTPC’s Talaipalli coal mine to the 1600 MW NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station in Chhattisgarh. Constructed at a cost exceeding Rs. 2070 crore, this system represents a technological advancement in coal transportation.

Further strengthening healthcare facilities in Chhattisgarh, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for ‘critical care blocks’ in nine districts, namely Durg, Kondagaon, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Jashpur, Surajpur, Surguja, Bastar, and Raigarh. This endeavor, under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), will incur a total cost exceeding Rs. 210 crore.

Lastly, as part of the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission (NSAEM), the Prime Minister will distribute one lakh sickle cell counselling cards to screened individuals. This initiative is aimed at addressing the health challenges posed by sickle cell disease, especially among tribal communities.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh underscores the government’s commitment to driving economic growth, connectivity, and healthcare accessibility in these states. The inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremonies for these transformative projects mark a significant step towards a more prosperous and interconnected India.
