CSIDC Chairman Holds Meeting with Industrial Representatives; Local Tax Exemption Acknowledged

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Sep 16, 2023: A crucial meeting convened by Dr. Nand Kumar Sai, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC), brought together more than 200 representatives from various industrial organizations in Raipur on Friday. The discussions revolved around advancing industrial infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations for industries in the region. Dr. Sai assured attendees of the government’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities and addressing any challenges faced by industries.

During the meeting, Mr. Ashwin Garg, President of the Urla Industries Association, and representatives from multiple industry associations extended their gratitude to the Chhattisgarh Government. They appreciated the government’s decision to exempt industries located within the CSIDC industrial area from local taxes, which is seen as a significant step to boost the industrial sector.

The event witnessed participation from representatives of prominent organizations, including the Confederation of Indian Industry, PHD Chamber of Commerce, Urla Industry Association, Plastic Industry Association, Laghu Udyog Bharti, Chhattisgarh Re-Rolling Mill Association, Chhattisgarh Commerce and Trade Industry Organisation, Dalit Chamber of Commerce, and Small Scale Industries Traders Association. Mr. Amar Parwani, President of the Chamber of Commerce, was also in attendance.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mr. OP Banjare, General Manager of CSIDC. It was an important gathering where industrial stakeholders had the opportunity to voice their concerns and discuss the government’s support in fostering a conducive environment for industries in Chhattisgarh.

Key government officials present at the meeting included Mr. Anil Shrivastava, Executive Director of CSIDC, Mr. Alok Trivedi, Joint Secretary of the Commerce and Industry Department, and Mr. Sanjay Gajghate, Joint Director.

This meeting underscores the government’s dedication to promoting industrial growth and creating a business-friendly atmosphere for industries in the state.
