Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel Inaugurates Rs 457 Crore Development Projects in Bijapur District
TFP Bureau, Raipur; Sep 18, 2023: Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is scheduled to visit Bijapur today, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects totaling Rs 457.58 crore. During this visit, the Chief Minister will mark the inauguration of 99 completed projects amounting to Rs 123.15 crore and perform the Bhoomi Pujan (ground-breaking ceremony) for 110 development works with an estimated cost of Rs 334.42 crore.
One of the significant inaugurations will be the Central Library, constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Additionally, a shed at the garment factory under REPA, costing Rs 2.54 crore, will be inaugurated. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate hostel buildings in Timimapur, Basaguda, Usur, Trem, Nameed, and Pagdapalli. The new bus stand in Bhadrakali will be inaugurated, and a tourist destination will receive an upgrade.
The inauguration also includes various road infrastructure projects, such as the Pamgal to Motupalli Marg, Jagur to Kutru Marg, and improvements to Chintavagu River, Mingachal River, and Tarun Nala, with a combined cost of Rs 12 crore.
Health infrastructure improvements are on the list, including the inauguration of works at the burn unit and community health centers within the district hospital. Projects under the Narwa Vikas Yojana, like works on Masheguda Nala, Gudma Nala, Bhadu Nala, and Idkapalli Nala, will also be inaugurated.
The Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the installation of solar dual pumps worth Rs 164 crore as part of the Jaljivan Mission. Additionally, Bhoomi Pujan will be performed for new buildings in 63 schools without existing infrastructure, amounting to nearly Rs 12 crore.
Several significant road development projects are scheduled for Bhoomi Pujan, including the Jagur Tumnar Road (Rs 13.76 crore), Matwara Jagur Kutru Marg (Rs 12.58 crore), and a high-level bridge in Penkarm Nallah (Rs 4.21 crore). Road widening projects include Usur Malampenta Marg, Bijapur Kondapalli Marg, Tarram Churwahi Marg, Malempenta Pamed Marg, and Kutaru to Farsarh.
The Village Development Agency and the House Construction Board will witness Bhoomi Pujan for various development works. Moreover, development projects in Nagar Panchayat Bijapur and Bhopalpatnam will be initiated during the Chief Minister’s visit.
