Chief Minister to Unveil 325 Development Initiatives Worth ₹359.83 Crore in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur District
TFP Bureau, Raipur; Sep18, 2023: In a bid to further bolster infrastructure and foster development, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is set to inaugurate a diverse array of 325 development projects valued at ₹359.83 crore during his visit to Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district on September 19. These initiatives encompass 160 inaugurated projects with a total worth of ₹156.47 crore and 165 foundation stone-laying ceremonies for upcoming projects amounting to ₹203.36 crore. Additionally, the Chief Minister will distribute checks and materials valued at ₹3 crore to beneficiaries of various state government public welfare schemes.
The focal point of the Chief Minister’s visit will be the inauguration of the Ram Vatika and infrastructure development projects under the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit in Sitamarhi-Harchauka, entailing an expenditure of ₹7.45 crore. These initiatives aim to promote tourism and enrich the cultural heritage of the region.
Among the noteworthy inaugurated projects is the construction work on the Bahrasi to Sanbora MP Border road, costing ₹22.61 crore, which will facilitate better connectivity and accessibility. Furthermore, the district will witness the opening of the Neur river construction project on the Barauta to Bhumka road, estimated at ₹11.19 crore. Additionally, a high-level bridge and approach road across the Khatambar river on the Barkabahra to Kelhari road, with a budget of ₹4.54 crore, will enhance transportation links in the area.
The Chief Minister will also inaugurate 87 initiatives under the Rural Road Development Scheme, amounting to ₹74.31 crore, aimed at improving road infrastructure in the region. In addition, three projects related to the Tap Water Scheme, with a cumulative expenditure of ₹11.12 crore, will be inaugurated to provide clean drinking water to the populace. The Public Works Department will witness the inauguration of 11 projects, including road and bridge-culvert construction, with a total budget of ₹42.92 crore. Furthermore, the Chief Minister will kick off construction work on 45 Devgudis at a cost of ₹35 lakh.
Turning to the foundation-laying ceremonies, one of the pivotal projects is the construction of a 132/33 KV power plant in Bahrasi village, which will require an investment of ₹22.50 crore and significantly boost the region’s power infrastructure. Another significant initiative includes the construction of a high-level bridge and access road across the Hasdev river on the Kauri Marg to Panari Marg route, with a budget of ₹13.03 crore. Additionally, the construction of a bridge across Baniya Nala on the Kishori to Kachohar road, valued at ₹8.81 crore, will improve connectivity and accessibility.
The district will witness the commencement of construction work on a high-level bridge and approach road across the Barne river on the Bichhiya Tola to Kotba road, amounting to ₹93.26 crore. Furthermore, projects related to road, bridge-culvert construction, and building construction work by the Public Works Department will kickstart with an investment of ₹21.77 crore. The Public Health Engineering Department’s Tap Water Scheme will see six projects, including electrification of warehouses, completed at a cost of ₹5.33 crore in villages Matta, Nagari, Lohari, Bhuapath, Trishuli, Kartharadol, Masrara, Rajrawal, Hathwari, Jhapidogri, and FCI.
