Chhattisgarh’s Transformative Journey Inspired by Lord Shri Ram: CM Bhupesh Baghel

  • Announces New 100-Bed Hospital in Janakpur and Dedicates 325 Development Projects Worth Rs 359.83 Crore

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Sep 19, 2023: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel embarked on a momentous visit to a sacred site on Tuesday, tracing the footsteps of Lord Shri Ram’s entry into Chhattisgarh during his exile. In Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district, Mr. Baghel explored the sites linked to Lord Shri Ram at Sitamarhi Harchowka and inaugurated the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit, a Rs 7.45 crore project aimed at boosting tourism in the region.

During this significant visit, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made several key announcements, including the establishment of a new 100-bed hospital in Janakpur and the expansion of the Kelhari-Harchauka road. He also dedicated 325 development projects with a total value of Rs 359.83 crore to the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. This included the inauguration of 160 development projects worth Rs 156.47 crore and the ground-breaking ceremonies for 165 projects worth Rs 203.36 crore.

 

In Sitamarhi-Harchauka, located on the Chhattisgarh-Madhya Pradesh border along the banks of the Mawai River, the Chhattisgarh Government has completed the development of Ram Vatika and various infrastructure projects under the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit, totaling Rs 7.45 crore. As part of these endeavors, the Chief Minister inaugurated a Lord Shri Ram statue, a Ramayana interpretation center, a cafeteria, Siyaram Kutir, a tourist information center, and riverbank beautification.

Mr. Baghel also distributed various departmental kits to beneficiaries and visited various departmental stalls. In his address, he emphasized the transformative changes occurring in Chhattisgarh, crediting them to the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, who serves as an inspiration to the entire country. The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to honoring Lord Shri Ram’s ideals and memories through the development of the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit.

He highlighted the successful development of the Mata Kaushalya temple complex in Chandkhuri, which stands as the world’s only temple dedicated to Mata Kaushalya, along with the inauguration of sacred sites associated with Lord Shri Ram in Shivrinarayan, Rajim, Ramgarh, and Sihawa.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister underscored the state government’s ongoing efforts to preserve Chhattisgarh’s rich culture. Initiatives such as the National Tribal Festival, showcasing tribal culture at the national level, and the National Ramayana Festival, promoting ideals associated with Lord Shri Ram, have been launched. Efforts to preserve the native language and revive traditional food culture, notably “Bore Basi,” have gained popularity among officials, who now share their experiences on social media platforms.

Regarding welfare schemes, Mr. Baghel announced that the third installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana would be disbursed at the end of September. Through schemes like the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana, the state has transferred a total of Rs. 1.75 lakh crore to beneficiaries’ accounts. He noted that the state is now generating its electricity, compared to the past when it relied on Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the state government has sanctioned various development projects worth Rs. 1,260 crore for the region.

Dr. Charandas Mahant, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, also addressed the gathering, expressing his joy that the inauguration coincided with Ganesh Chaturthi. He commended Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for preserving Lord Shri Ram’s memories and noted that Lord Shri Ram is a role model for the entire nation.

On this occasion, Bharatpur-Sonhat MLA Mr. Gulab Kamro presented bows and arrows to the Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Renowned Bollywood singer Ms. Tripti Shakya recited the Hanuman Chalisa.

The event was attended by Culture Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Mr. Mohan Markam, Parliamentary Secretary and Baikunthpur MLA Mrs. Ambika Singh Deo, Manendragarh MLA Dr. Vinay Jaiswal, Parliamentary Secretary and Samri MLA Mr. Chintamani Maharaj, Chairman of Gau Seva Aayog Rajeshri Mahant Dr. Ramsundar Das, Chairman of the Tourism Board Mr. Atal Shrivastav, and other dignitaries.
