BJP’s Baseless Allegations Regarding PSC Results Condemned by Chhattisgarh Congress
- High Court to Certify Credibility of PSC Process
TFP Bureau, Raipur, Sep 20, 2023: Sushil Anand Shukla, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee’s Communication Department, has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for raising unfounded questions about the State Public Service Commission (PSC) selection list. Shukla denounced the BJP’s attempt to question the qualifications of successful candidates as a part of their low-level politics.
The BJP, led by Dr. Raman Singh, has made unsubstantiated allegations that some candidates with connections to leaders, officials, and businesspeople were selected in the PSC. They have raised concerns about how siblings, spouses, and children of officers managed to secure positions in the PSC. Shukla stated that there is no logical basis for the BJP to question the PSC results, and their attempts to do so are causing unwarranted doubt about the government’s credibility.
Shukla also pointed out that during the BJP’s 15-year tenure, several individuals with connections to politicians, officials, and officers were selected in PSC exams. He emphasized that having such connections was not considered a disqualification during the BJP’s rule. Shukla accused the BJP of making baseless and false allegations to advance their political agenda.
The Chairman of the Congress Communication Department also reminded the public of controversies surrounding PSC examinations during Raman Singh’s tenure. He cited instances of corruption and irregularities within the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, including the sale of question papers in 2011 and mass cheating during the PMT exam in Mungeli. Shukla emphasized that this history casts doubt on the BJP’s credibility when discussing the future of Chhattisgarh’s youth.
Furthermore, Shukla highlighted that BJP leaders were continuously plotting to disrupt PSC recruitment. During a recent High Court hearing in Bilaspur, false information presented in a petition led the court to express displeasure and instruct an investigation into the petitioner’s claims. The court warned the petitioner that if the information was found to be incorrect, appropriate action would be taken against them. Shukla asserted that fabricating false facts and making baseless claims were typical of the BJP’s political character and that being caught lying in the High Court petition exposed their conspiracy.
In conclusion, Shukla reaffirmed the Congress’s commitment to ensuring the transparency and credibility of the PSC selection process and criticized the BJP’s efforts to undermine the trust in this vital institution.
