TFP Bureau, Sukma; Sep 24, 2023: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel graced the Aam Sabha in Chhindgarh, Sukma, with significant announcements and a vision for the region’s development. In a spirited address, he underscored the importance of preserving Chhattisgarh’s dialect, culture, tradition, and language while outlining ambitious plans to transform Sukma into a thriving district with world-class amenities.
Celebrating Chhattisgarh Parab, Chief Minister Baghel announced financial support of Rs 10,000 for each Sarpanch, recognizing their pivotal role in the state’s progress. He emphasized the state’s commitment to nurturing its unique heritage.
Sukma district, often regarded as the gateway to South India, received special attention from the Chief Minister. He voiced his determination to uplift the region, ensuring it becomes the most picturesque district in Chhattisgarh. He called for the construction of high-quality schools and hospitals equipped with modern amenities.
Chief Minister Baghel assured the residents of Sukma that their interests were paramount, and development initiatives were ongoing. He applauded the progress made in the district and urged the community to maintain this momentum for sustained growth.
Key Announcements to Boost Sukma’s Development:
During the Aam Sabha in Chhindgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made several noteworthy announcements aimed at transforming Sukma:
1. Construction of a Rest House in Chhindgarh: To enhance infrastructure and accommodation options in Chhindgarh.
2. 30-Bed Hospital in Talnar: As part of the healthcare expansion, a new hospital will be built to provide better medical services.
3. New Bridge on Pordem Road: A bridge will be constructed on Pordem Road for the convenience of the public.
4. Bridge between Mankapal and Puser Road: Enhancing connectivity with the construction of a bridge over the Malger river.
5. Bridge between Hamirgarh and Litiras: Another bridge project, this time connecting Hamirgarh and Litiras over the Baru river.
6. Paddy Procurement Centers: Centers will be established in Mankapal, Kistaram, Jagargunda in Sukma district, and Potanar, Dhuragaon, and Gumadpal in Bastar district to support local farmers.
7. Bridge between Rokel and Pedaras: Improving accessibility with a new bridge on the Baru River.
8. Culvert on Kerlapal to Ponga Bhejji Road: The construction of a culvert over Rewari stream will facilitate smoother travel on the Kerlapal to Ponga Bhejji road.
Empowering Kondagaon with Development Initiatives:
Chief Minister Baghel also addressed an Aam Sabha in Kondagaon, where he made crucial announcements to further the district’s progress:
1. Shed Construction at Lingayi Mata Temple Steps: Enhancing infrastructure at a significant religious site.
2. Approval for Building in Makdi Block’s Higher Secondary Schools: Commitment to improving educational facilities in Kshamtapur and Lubha.
3. Construction of a Vegetable Market in Kondagaon: Promoting local businesses and commerce.
4. Mini Stadiums in Malakot and Dongriguda Village Panchayats: Encouraging sports and physical activity in the community.
5. Community House for Dewangan and Satnami Communities: Fostering inclusivity and community development.
Inauguration of the Tribal Rest House in Kondagaon:
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the Tribal Rest House in Kondagaon, a significant addition to the region’s infrastructure. Costing 2 crore rupees, this fully-equipped rest house on National Highway 30 is a symbol of development in Chhattisgarh. It includes an assembly hall, waiting rooms, accommodation, conference facilities, and shops. This two-story rest house will serve as a hub for various social programs and events.
Present at the inauguration were prominent figures, including Excise Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Deputy Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Mr. Santaram Netam, and Minister of Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Mr. Mohan Markam, among others.
CM Launches Mukhyamantri Swalpahaar Yojana in Sukma
In a significant step towards enhancing child nutrition and well-being, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the Mukhyamantri Swalpahaar Yojana (Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme) in Chhindgarh, Sukma. The scheme will benefit 681 primary schools in Sukma district, providing snacks to students from class 1st to 5th five days a week. The menu includes items like poha, porridge, chana fry, moong dal, and veg pulao. Approximately 17 thousand children in Sukma will benefit from this scheme, with an additional incentive of Rs 800 for school cooks to ensure its successful implementation.
