The BJP’s second list also features Kailash Vijayvargiya, the party’s General Secretary, who will be vying for the Indore Assembly Number-1 seat. Vivek Bunty Sahu has been fielded as the BJP candidate from Chhindwara.
It’s worth mentioning that the BJP had previously announced the names of 39 candidates in its first list. The anticipation now rests on the party’s second list for Chhattisgarh, which is expected soon. Historically, the BJP has unveiled the list of candidates simultaneously for both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh BJP in-charge Om Mathur has stated that the party is gearing up for an aggressive campaign in this year’s assembly elections. The BJP intends to highlight the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and underscore the alleged failures of the state government among the public. Regarding the release of the second list of candidates, Mathur has confirmed that 80 percent of the list is ready and will be announced shortly.
Mathur cited the Prime Minister’s busy schedule as the reason for the delay in releasing the second list. However, he assured that the BJP is prepared to announce the candidates as soon as the Central Election Committee gives the go-ahead. In a candid response to the Congress party’s activities, Mathur emphasized that the BJP’s strategy is distinct, and their focus remains on their own goals.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the Nagarnar Steel Plant in Bastar on October 3, adding to the anticipation surrounding the forthcoming assembly elections. During his visit, the Prime Minister will also address a general meeting at Lal Bagh ground in Jagdalpur and launch several central government schemes from the stage. BJP leaders are actively engaged in preparations for this significant event.
