NMDC Awarded ‘Best Organisation’ for Excellence in QC Movement

TFP Bureau, Hyderabad; Sep 26, 2023: The National Miner, NMDC, received the prestigious ‘Best Organisation Award’ at the 37th Annual Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts 2023 held in Hyderabad today. The award was presented by the Honorable Governor of Telangana, Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan, in recognition of NMDC’s invaluable contributions to the Quality Control (QC) Movement in Hyderabad and across India.

Representatives of NMDC, Shri M. Jayapal Reddy, Executive Director (Resource Planning & Environment), and Shri V. Srinivas, General Manager (Human Resources Development), were honored to accept the award. The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, Former Chairman of DRDO and Former Scientific Advisor.

The Quality Circles Forum of India, Hyderabad Chapter, took this opportunity to celebrate NMDC’s pivotal role in shaping the Quality Control Movement within the corporate landscape of India. Speaking about this remarkable achievement, Shri Amitava Mukherjee, Chairman and Managing Director (Additional Charge) of NMDC, stated, “Quality Circles in NMDC have played an instrumental role in elevating our productivity, efficiency, and safety standards. We are delighted to have set a significant example of how collaborative platforms can strengthen the industrial culture. Our commitment remains steadfast in fostering the growth of this movement within our organization and throughout the nation.”
