Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dedicates INR 4,471 Crore Worth of Development Works for State’s Progress

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Sep 27, 2023: In a significant move aimed at bolstering the state’s infrastructure and fostering economic growth, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel dedicated a total of 2,715 development projects valued at INR 4,471 crores. This momentous event took place during a program held at his residential office. These projects encompass various sectors and are designed to enhance public facilities, directly contributing to the state’s economic development.

The roster of projects dedicated by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel comprised 1,121 projects with a total value of INR 2,368 crores for Bhumipujan (groundbreaking ceremonies), 1,530 projects costing INR 1,705 crores for inauguration, and 64 projects amounting to INR 398 crores for the foundation stone laying. The Chief Minister ceremoniously inaugurated the newly constructed Chhattisgarh Niwas, situated in New Delhi’s Dwarka area. This state-of-the-art facility, constructed at a cost of INR 60 crores and 42 lakhs, provides essential amenities and accommodations.

 

Highlighting the significance of these development endeavors, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel stated that over the past five years, the government has accorded priority to infrastructure development, social welfare, and economic empowerment. Notably, the benefits of public welfare schemes have been distributed equitably across all regions of the state, with tailor-made plans addressing the specific needs of the people. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel reiterated that effective implementation has been the driving force behind Chhattisgarh’s development.

Furthermore, the inauguration of ‘Chhattisgarh Niwas’ in New Delhi now offers accommodation solutions for Chhattisgarh residents visiting the capital for government or personal purposes. This addition addresses the need for lodging facilities and ensures convenience for visitors. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel recently dedicated construction projects valued at INR 10,551 crores, spanning various departments and public amenities, both at the state and district levels, which will significantly benefit the citizens of Chhattisgarh.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri T.S. Singh Deo, who participated virtually in the program, expressed his commitment to advancing Chhattisgarh through continuous efforts. He emphasized how these development works would contribute to the overall well-being of the public. Key officials, including Public Works Department Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Principal Secretary Home Mr. Manoj Pingua, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Ankit Anand, Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Mr. S. Bharathidasan, and Chairman of the Apex Bank Shri Baijnath Chandrakar, also attended the ceremony, either in person or virtually.

‘Chhattisgarh Niwas’ – Equipped for Comfort and Convenience:

Chhattisgarh Niwas, located in Dwarka, New Delhi, is a modern facility that caters to various needs. With a construction cost of INR 60 crores and 42 lakhs, the building boasts 61 rooms and 13 suites. This four-story structure offers numerous amenities, including dining areas, waiting rooms, conference halls, guest rooms, a dormitory, residential lifts, and parking facilities. The facility has been constructed to provide accommodations for Chhattisgarh residents visiting Delhi for government assignments, personal reasons, and medical purposes. The demand for this additional facility underscores the state’s commitment to ensuring the convenience and well-being of its citizens.

An Array of Inaugurations, Bhumipujan, and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremonies:

The extensive list of projects inaugurated and dedicated by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel encompassed a wide spectrum of departments and initiatives. These projects include those from the Energy Department, Forest and Climate Change Department, Higher Education Department, Home Department, CREDA, Housing and Environment Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Medical Education Department, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, Raipur Smart City Limited, Transport Department, Scheduled Tribe Department, Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation, Department of Agriculture and Technology, Public Works Department, and the Apex Bank, among others. These initiatives collectively symbolize the state’s commitment to comprehensive development across diverse sectors.
