Chhattisgarh’s ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ Witnesses Leaders Addressing Crowd of Enthusiastic Supporters

TFP Bureau, Raigarh, Oct 04, 2023: A momentous gathering unfolded as Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, arrived at OP Jindal Airport in Raigarh, warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. This grand event marked the ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ program in Kondatarai, Raigarh, where the two leaders addressed an enthusiastic crowd of supporters.

Joining the leaders at the event were Deputy Chief Minister Mr. T.S. Singh Deo, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, and numerous other public representatives.

The ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ program brought together leaders, public representatives, and citizens from various walks of life to discuss and celebrate the progress and trust in the Chhattisgarh government. On this occasion, Mr. Kharge laid the foundation stone for ‘Jaitkhams,’ set to be constructed in 82 selected development blocks across the state. Additionally, goods and assistance worth Rs 9 crore 8 lakh 35 thousand were distributed to 3088 beneficiaries of various government schemes.

The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait of Chhattisgarh Mahtari, accompanied by the singing and playing of the Rajya Geet.

Higher Education Minister, Mr. Umesh Patel, extended a warm welcome to all the guests, including Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, expressing gratitude for their presence in the holy land of Raigarh.

Mr. Patel highlighted the significance of the event, emphasizing that it was a testament to the trust placed in the government by farmers who received Rs 2500 per quintal for their paddy crop. He mentioned that this trust has been upheld, with the government announcing the purchase of 20 quintals of paddy this year.

He further noted that the economic condition of farmers has significantly improved, with businesses and other sectors also benefiting. The region has witnessed a record number of tractor purchases in the last five years, indicating positive economic growth.

The Rural Industrial Park has played a pivotal role in promoting rural entrepreneurship, and the Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitan Club, initiated by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, has been actively encouraging and supporting the youth of Chhattisgarh.

MP Mr. Deepak Baij addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ as a testament to the trust placed in the government by farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged. He emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the lives of these sections of society, offering education in English medium, enhancing healthcare facilities, and supporting self-employment.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. TS Singh Deo emphasized the government’s efforts to improve the lives of various segments of the population, including farmers, laborers, women, and youth. He noted that the policies implemented by the Chhattisgarh government have significantly benefited farmers and have yet to be matched by any other state.

He also underscored the success of the government’s policies, which have made Chhattisgarh farmers more prosperous than ever before. The policies have empowered farmers and positively impacted various sectors, marking a significant achievement for the state.

Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge and Mr. Bhupesh Baghel jointly laid the foundation stone for ‘Jaitkhams’ to be constructed in 82 development blocks during the ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ program in Kondatarai, Raigarh district.

During his address, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel highlighted the state’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge for visiting Raigarh, a hub of art and culture, and noted the state’s progress in various sectors.

Mr. Baghel acknowledged the historical significance of the event and the foundation stone laying ceremony for ‘Jaitkhams,’ which is set to be constructed in villages across the state. He mentioned the importance of following the path of truth, inspired by Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji and Mahatma Gandhi.

The Chief Minister highlighted various government initiatives, such as the purchase of Minor Forest Produce, which has significantly improved the economic condition of tribal populations in remote forest areas. He also noted that Chhattisgarh purchases three-fourths of the country

‘s Minor Forest Produce, benefiting 12.50 lakh tendupatta collectors through a social security scheme.

Mr. Baghel described the ‘Chhattisgarh Model,’ which includes policies such as paddy procurement at support prices, an annual financial grant of Rs 7,000 to landless laborers, and free education in English medium. These policies have led to a significant improvement in people’s lives, and more than 40 lakh individuals have risen above poverty in Chhattisgarh during this period.

He also highlighted the government’s efforts in empowering farmers, youth, laborers, women, and children, while returning resources to the people. The Chhattisgarh Government has directly disbursed over Rs 1 lakh 75 thousand crores to the common people through various welfare schemes, leading to economic growth and development.

Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge commended the ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ program, emphasizing its scale and importance in Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. He suggested renaming it the ‘Bharose Ke Anushthaan Ka Sammelan,’ symbolizing the extensive work being carried out for the welfare of all citizens.

He praised Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s unwavering commitment to Chhattisgarh’s development, even in challenging circumstances. He expressed his congratulations to the people for the progress and development taking place across the state.

Mr. Kharge emphasized that the Chhattisgarh Government’s plans aim to address the needs of common people while providing employment opportunities to millions. He noted that Chhattisgarh delivers more than it promises, with policies that have lifted more than 40 lakh individuals out of poverty in the state.
