Coal Ministry’s Special Campaign 3.0: Coal PSUs Active in Nationwide Cleanliness Drive
TFP Bureau, New Delhi, Oct 11, 2023: The Ministry of Coal, in collaboration with its Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and field offices, is fully engaged in Special Campaign 3.0 focused on Swachhata (cleanliness) from October 2nd to October 31st, 2023. This initiative follows a preparatory phase that commenced on September 15th, aiming to outline the objectives for the campaign.
The primary phase of the campaign officially began on October 2nd and is set to run until the end of this month.The Special Campaign 3.0 is designed to address various key areas, including the effective resolution of public grievances, responses to Members of Parliament, Parliament Assurances, cleanliness drives, scrap disposal, file management, and other cleanliness-related activities.In preparation for this significant effort, high-level meetings were conducted at the Additional Secretary level, engaging all stakeholders, particularly Coal PSUs.
The focus was on strategizing, building awareness, and coordinating all stakeholders within the Ministry’s purview to ensure the successful execution of the campaign and the realization of its targets across different categories as agreed upon with all participants.During the preparatory phase, the Ministry of Coal identified 763 sites for the cleanliness campaign. Additionally, the Ministry set a target to review 129,301 physical files and 59,213 e-Files to enhance record management practices.
Furthermore, a considerable amount of 5,218 metric tons of scrap has been earmarked for disposal as part of the campaign’s objectives.The Coal Ministry is actively engaging in a range of activities to foster best practices and endeavors to complete these tasks before the campaign’s conclusion. This comprehensive effort not only promotes cleanliness but also seeks to enhance the work environment, with a lasting positive impact on the broader environment.
As the Special Campaign 3.0 continues, the Ministry and its PSUs are committed to realizing these objectives and making a significant contribution to a cleaner and more organized workspace.
