Government of Chhattisgarh Implements Swift Reshuffle of Key Officials

  • Police and General Administration Departments Take Action on Recommendations

TFP Bureau, Raipur, Oct 12, 2023: In a proactive move following the recommendations of the Election Commission, the Government of Chhattisgarh has swiftly executed a reshuffling of key government officials. This reshuffle, conducted on an administrative basis, aims to ensure effective governance and adherence to the state’s electoral protocols.

Police Department’s Notable Appointments :

On the frontlines of these changes are high-ranking Indian Police Service (IPS) and State Police Service officers, who have been temporarily appointed to the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur. The following officers have been reassigned to the role of Assistant Inspector General of Police at Police Headquarters, Raipur:

  1. Shri Abhishek Meena IPS (2010) : Transferred from Superintendent of Police, Rajnandgaon.
  2. Shri Shalabh Kumar Sinha IPS (2014): Transferred from Superintendent of Police, Durg.
  3. Shri U Uday Kiran IPS (2015): Transferred from Superintendent of Police, Korba.
  4. Shri Abhishek Maheshwari CPS: Transferred from Additional Superintendent of Police, Bilaspur.
  5. Shri Sanjay Dhruv CPS: Transferred from Additional Superintendent of Police, Durg.

These officers will be relieved from their current positions immediately after handing over their responsibilities to the senior-most officers in their respective districts.

General Administration Department’s Notable Appointments:

In a parallel development, the General Administration Department of the Chhattisgarh Government has made significant appointments:

  1. Shri Sanjeev Kumar Jha, I.A.S (2011): Appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry. Shri Jha was previously serving as the Collector of Bilaspur.
  2. Shri Taran Prakash Sinha, I.A.S (2012): Appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry. Shri Sinha previously held the position of Collector in Raigarh.
  3. Shri Manoj Soni, I.S.E: Temporarily reassigned from Special Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department to the role of Special Secretary, Ministry.

These strategic appointments aim to enhance the administrative efficiency and ensure that the government’s functions run smoothly during the electoral process, meeting the necessary requirements set forth by the Election Commission of India.
