  • Chhattisgarh: Bharatiya Janata Party Seeks Input from Journalists for Upcoming Assembly Election Manifesto

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Oct 15 2023: In an endeavor to craft an inclusive and people-centric election manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Manifesto Committee, led by Convenor MP Vijay Baghel, initiated a “Mann Ki Baat” dialogue program with journalists on Saturday. This media interaction, took place at the BJP office within the Ekatm Complex, provided a platform for journalists to contribute their insights and recommendations to the party’s manifesto.

Mr. Vijay Baghel emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party has been diligently collecting suggestions from all 90 assembly constituencies through multiple channels. These channels include email submissions, social media outreach via Facebook and WhatsApp, and direct face-to-face meetings. Moreover, the party engaged in discussions with journalists from Raipur, welcoming their valuable inputs geared towards addressing the needs and concerns of the public within the BJP’s manifesto.

A significant gathering of esteemed editors, bureau chiefs, journalists, and camerapersons hailing from prominent newspapers and news channels were present at the program. They shared their recommendations and insights, with the Manifesto Committee convenor, Sh. Vijay Baghel, demonstrating a sincere commitment to include these valuable inputs in the party’s manifesto. Throughout this interaction, respected journalists from various corners of the world provided numerous suggestions focusing on the state’s development.

The BJP opted to engage directly with journalists in a one-on-one dialogue format, and many journalists conveyed their recommendations to Convenor Vijay Baghel in written form. Mr. Vijay Baghel, while addressing the gathering, elaborated that the Bharatiya Janata Party had actively solicited input from diverse sections of society. This included people from every stratum, including street vendors, barbers, launderers, small business owners, large traders, laborers, athletes, tribals, Dalits, backward castes, women’s organizations, social leaders, intellectuals, and government employees.

This comprehensive approach aimed to involve a wide spectrum of society in shaping the party’s manifesto, with the ultimate goal of realizing “Antyodaya” or the welfare of the most disadvantaged.Mr. Baghel stressed the enthusiasm and confidence exuded by individuals from various sections of society while contributing to the BJP’s manifesto. This positive response was inspired by the experiences of the state under the Bhupesh government over the past five and a half years. The state’s residents had witnessed fraud, corruption, and scandals during the Congress government’s tenure, which eroded their rights and privileges.Mr. Baghel underlined the difference in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s approach, where the party follows through on its commitments. In contrast, the Congress party does not honor its promises.

The BJP is dedicated to the welfare and happiness of all its citizens and diligently adheres to the principles outlined in its manifesto. The media interaction event was attended by BJP Election Media In-Charge, MLA Siddharth Nath Singh; former minister Chandrashekhar Sahu; State Election Media Committee Coordinator, Rasik Parmar; Manifesto Committee Member Secretary, Pankaj Jha; State Media In-Charge, Amit Chimnani, and State Media Co-In-Charge, Anurag Aggarwal.
