Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2023: Nominations of 253 Candidates Accepted for First Phase

  • Nomination Withdrawal Deadline Set for October 23

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Oct 22, 2023: As the electoral process gains momentum in Chhattisgarh for the Assembly Election 2023, the scrutiny of nomination papers for the first phase, encompassing 20 assembly constituencies, was conducted today. Of the total 294 candidates who filed nominations before the deadline on October 20, 253 candidates have had their nominations validated.

The first phase of the Assembly Elections 2023 includes 14 assembly constituencies in Antagarh, 15 in Bhanupratappur, 10 in Kanker, 10 in Keshkal, 10 in Kondagaon, 9 in Narayanpur, 8 in Bastar, 13 in Jagdalpur, 7 in Chitrakote, 7 in Dantewada, 10 in Bijapur, and 9 in Konta. These nominations have been successfully accepted. Similarly, 11 candidates in Khairagarh, 13 in Dongargarh, 35 in Rajnandgaon, 15 in Dongargaon, 10 in Khujji, 10 in Mohla-Manpur, 21 in Kawardha, and 16 in Pandariya have also received approval.

Candidates for the first phase have until October 23 to withdraw their nominations. Voting for the first phase is scheduled for November 7, with the results to be counted and announced on December 3, 2023. The electoral process in Chhattisgarh is in full swing, with candidates gearing up for the upcoming election, vying for a chance to represent their constituencies.
