Chhattisgarh Assembly General Election-2023: Voter Helpline App Brings Polling Information to Mobiles
TFP Bureau, Raipur, Oct 28, 2023: With the Assembly General Elections in Chhattisgarh approaching, anticipation among voters is on the rise for the upcoming two-phase voting process. To streamline the process and provide voters with essential information, the Election Commission of India has introduced the Voter Helpline App, offering convenient access to crucial electoral details on mobile devices.
The Voter Helpline App, a practical application developed by the Election Commission, serves as a valuable tool for swiftly delivering essential information to voters. Focused on ensuring that no voter is left uninformed about their right to vote, the Election Commission has taken proactive steps by launching this multifunctional app.
Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, the Chief Electoral Officer, highlighted the app’s versatility and user-friendly features. Available on both Android and iOS platforms, the app enables voters to easily locate their respective assembly, polling booth, and their name in the voter list by entering their voter identity card (EPIC) number.
Moreover, the app provides comprehensive information about candidates in a voter’s constituency and beyond, including access to candidates’ affidavits. On the day of counting, users can also view official assembly-wise election results through this application.
In addition to providing electoral information, the app allows voters to submit election-related complaints directly through the platform. For voter awareness, the app hosts videos demonstrating the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), empowering voters with valuable insights.
The Voter Helpline App serves as a user-friendly tool, ensuring voters can easily access pertinent electoral information and contribute to a more informed and engaged electorate as the election day approaches.
