Speaking to the assembled audience, he reiterated the Congress’s commitment to the welfare of the agricultural community, outlining an array of enhanced promises and future plans to empower these sectors.
Rahul Gandhi’s Key Announcements:
In his address, Rahul Gandhi highlighted that the government has exceeded its previous commitments. The pledged procurement rate for paddy was initially set at Rs 2500, which has been raised to Rs 2640. However, in the near future, the Congress aims to purchase paddy at a substantial rate of Rs 3000 without the necessity of farmer intervention.
Enhanced Benefits for Farmers and Laborers:
Gandhi emphasized their responsiveness to the heartfelt needs of farmers and laborers, declaring an increase in the annual financial support for landless laborers from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000. Moreover, the health insurance scheme will witness a rise in coverage, escalating from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

Reflecting on the transformative changes brought about by the Congress government in the past five years, Rahul Gandhi stressed the party’s dedication to fulfilling promises made to the electorate. The Congress is steadfast in its assurance of loan waivers for farmers upon forming the government.

Discussing the party’s educational initiatives, Gandhi emphasized the establishment of Swami Atmanand English Schools and the introduction of 33 new universities.
