Nomination Deadline Approaches for Second Phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023
TFP Bureau, Raipur, Oct 29, 2023: As the second phase of the Chhattisgarh Assembly General Election-2023 progresses, the deadline for filing nominations for the 70 assembly constituencies involved in this phase is swiftly approaching, set to conclude on October 30, 2023.
The Chief Electoral Officer’s office reported that a total of 474 candidates have submitted 740 nomination papers for the 70 assembly constituencies of the second phase of the Assembly Elections-2023. These constituencies encompass regions across Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, and Surguja divisions.
Nomination Scrutiny and Withdrawal Period:
Following the nomination closure, the scrutiny of these papers is scheduled for October 31. Candidates will retain the option to withdraw their names until November 2, leading up to the upcoming electoral process.
Constituencies and Voting Schedule:
The second phase includes several key constituencies such as Bharatpur-Sonhat, Manendragarh, Baikunthpur, Premnagar, and others. The voting for these constituencies is set to take place on November 17, 2023. The counting of votes for both the first and second phases of the election is slated for December 3, 2023.
