Election Commission Appoints Three Special Observers for Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023
TFP Bureau, Raipur, Nov 3, 2023: The Election Commission of India has named three special observers to oversee the Chhattisgarh Assembly General Election 2023.
Shri Dharmendra S., a retired officer of the 1988 Bihar cadre of the Indian Administrative Service, has been appointed as the Special General Observer for Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, a retired officer of the 1984 Punjab cadre of the Indian Police Service, has been assigned the role of Special Police Observer for the state. Additionally, Shri Rajesh Tuteja, a retired officer from the 1987 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), has been designated as the Special Expenditure Observer.
These appointments come as part of the Election Commission’s preparations to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh.
The special observers are expected to oversee and ensure the adherence to guidelines, fair practices, and compliance with electoral regulations during the electoral process in the state.
