High Court Chief Justice Conducts Surprise Inspection of Korea-Baikunthpur District and Sessions Court

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Nov 5, 2023: The Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Shri Ramesh Sinha, made an unexpected visit to the District and Sessions Court in Koriya Baikunthpur this Saturday. He meticulously inspected the various sections and rooms within the court complex. Notably, he found that the infrastructure of the court building aligned with the esteemed stature of the judicial system.

Expressing contentment with the overall cleanliness of the premises, the Chief Justice issued directives to paint the exterior walls of the court building. This action aims to further enhance the visual appeal and maintenance of the court’s surroundings. District and Sessions Judge of Korea Baikunthpur, Shri Anand Kumar Dhruv, accompanied Shri Ramesh Sinha throughout the inspection.

During the impromptu review, the Chief Justice took the opportunity to engage with the legal practitioners, understanding their concerns, and ensuring that necessary measures would be taken to address these issues. Directives were provided to the relevant authorities to effectively resolve the problems highlighted by the advocates.

Subsequently, in a meeting with all the judges, the Chief Justice emphasized the expedited resolution of pending cases and urged the timely handling of new cases. Specifically, Shri Anand Kumar Dhruv informed the Chief Justice that approximately 600 cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act are currently awaiting resolution. Immediate attention and resolution for these cases were prioritized as per the instructions issued during the visit.

The Chief Justice’s inspection was attended by Registrar General, Mr. Arvind Kumar Verma, Additional Registrar cum PPS, Mr. M.B.L.N Subramaniam, and Protocol Officer, Mr. R. S. Negi. Their presence during this assessment further signified the importance and seriousness accorded to addressing the identified issues and improving the judicial system’s efficiency.
