BJP Alleges Corruption and Love Jihad in Chhattisgarh, Amit Shah Calls for Change
- Union Home Minister Accuses Chief Minister of Corruption, Claims Rise in Love Jihad Cases
TFP Bureau, Raipur/Saja; Nov 16, 2023: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led government in Chhattisgarh, alleging corruption, appeasement politics, and a surge in love jihad cases during a rally in support of BJP candidate Ishwar Sahu in the Saja Assembly. Shah declared that the time of the current government, led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, has ended, emphasizing the need for change.
Addressing the Vijay Sankalp Maha rally, Shah accused Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of being a “pre-paid Chief Minister,” suggesting that he only works based on bribes. Shah further claimed that under Baghel’s rule, Bemetara has become a center for love jihad, targeting specific communities. He urged the people to replace the current government with a BJP government, promising to address issues such as love jihad and corruption.
Shah highlighted the case of Bhuneshwar Sahu, a victim of a brutal murder in Biranpur, accusing the government of not providing justice and instead offering compensation to the victim’s family. He assured the crowd that the BJP government would ensure justice for Bhuneshwar Sahu and hold the criminals accountable.
The Union Home Minister criticized the state government for failing to fulfill its promise of banning liquor, pointing to a massive embezzlement of Rs. 5000 crore in an excise scam. Shah pledged that the BJP government, if elected, would provide gas cylinders to every mother for five years at Rs. 500 and give Rs. 12,000 annually to every married woman.
Shah also touched upon national issues, announcing that the consecration of Lord Ram in Ayodhya would take place on January 22, 2024. He criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for delaying the construction of the Ram temple.
On the issue of reservation, Shah accused the Congress of insulting backward communities and claimed that the BJP, under Prime Minister Modi, has worked towards giving constitutional recognition to backward classes.
BJP candidate Ishwar Sahu, addressing the gathering, recounted the murder of his son Bhuneshwar Sahu and accused the government of neglecting the case. He rejected offers of compensation and a government job, stating that justice is his primary demand.
In a symbolic move, former Congress leader Dr. Ramavatar Lodhi joined the BJP, expressing dissatisfaction with the policies and actions of the Congress party.
The rally, attended by BJP officials and workers, marked a fervent call for change in the upcoming elections, with Amit Shah pledging a government that prioritizes justice, anti-corruption measures, and the welfare of the people.
