TFP Bureau, Raipur; Nov 16, 2023: With the second phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections set for tomorrow, November 17, 2023, the Election Commission reports a substantial count of 2 crore 3 lakh 60 thousand 240 registered voters in the state. To empower citizens to participate actively, here’s a step-by-step guide to check your presence on the voter list.

  1. Visit the Election Commission website https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/ and follow the instructions provided.

Covering 70 assembly constituencies across Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, and Surguja divisions, the second phase of the Assembly Elections 2023 is crucial for the state. On the polling day, a total of 1 crore 63 lakh 14 thousand 479 eligible voters will have the opportunity to cast their votes. This includes 81 lakh 41 thousand 624 male voters, 81 lakh 72 thousand 171 female voters, and 684 voters of the third gender.

The Election Commission of India has issued Electoral Photo Identity Cards to all voters participating in the Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections-2023. While the Commission expects voters to present this ID card to ensure their identity, 12 alternative documents have also been authorized:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • MNREGA Job Card
  • Driving License
  • PAN Card
  • Indian Passport
  • Pension Document with photo
  • Central/State Government/Public Undertaking/Public Account photo ID
  • Service identity cards with photo issued by limited companies to their employees
  • Passbooks with photo issued by banks/post offices
  • Smart cards issued by RGI under NPR
  • Health insurance smart cards under the Ministry of Labour
  • Cards issued by MPs/MLAs/Legislative Council members
  • Government Identity Card issued by the Government of India
  • Unique Disability ID (UDID) card issued to persons with disabilities by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

In the second phase, voting will unfold across 70 assembly constituencies, following the established time frame of 8 am to 5 pm. In the Bindranwagarh assembly constituency, nine polling stations will open from 7 am to 3 pm, while the remaining polling stations in Bindranwagarh and the other 69 constituencies will welcome voters from 8 am to 5 pm.

This phase spans constituencies like Bharatpur-Sonhat, Manendragarh, Baikunthpur, Premnagar, Bhatgaon, Pratappur, Ramanujganj, Samri, Lundra, and many more, marking a crucial moment in shaping Chhattisgarh’s political landscape.
