Chhattisgarh Congress Optimistic of Securing Overwhelming Victory in State Elections
TFP Bureau, Raipur; Nov 17, 2023: In a press release issued by the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee, State Congress President and Member of Parliament, Deepak Baij, expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their robust participation and peaceful voting in the recently concluded second phase of elections. The release outlined the Congress’s confidence in securing a government with more than a three-fourth majority, emphasizing the rejection of BJP’s attempts to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of Chhattisgarh.
Congress Expresses Gratitude for Enthusiastic Voting
State Congress President, Deepak Baij, thanked the conscious voters of Chhattisgarh, asserting that the BJP’s attempts to mislead and create disturbances had failed. He appreciated the public’s trust in the work of the Congress government and the party’s manifesto. Baij stated that Congress is poised to win more than 75 seats, with farmers, mothers, sisters, youth, laborers, and traders showing inclination towards the party in both voting phases.
Election of Trust in Congress and Modi’s Claims
Baij characterized the election as a test of trust in both Congress and Prime Minister Modi’s statements. He claimed that the public has rejected Modi’s guarantee and BJP’s false allegations. Highlighting Congress’s accomplishments in fulfilling most promises from its 2018 manifesto, Baij attributed the increased public trust in the party over the last five years as a key factor in their favor.
Congress Campaign Focused on Governance and Previous Achievements
The State Congress President highlighted that Congress’s election campaign centered on the government’s plans and past achievements, emphasizing a positive approach. In contrast, he criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for campaigning on negativity. Baij accused the Modi government and BJP of misusing constitutional institutions and investigative agencies, attempting to defame the Congress government. However, he asserted that these tactics were wholly rejected by the people of Chhattisgarh.
Optimistic About a Landslide Victory
Closing the press release, Baij confidently declared that just as Congress secured a majority of more than two-thirds in 2018, this time they anticipate forming the government with a majority exceeding three-fourths. The State Congress President thanked the voters for their enthusiastic support.
Chairman of the Congress Communication Department, Sushil Anand Shukla, endorsed the press release on behalf of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee.
