Supreme Court Issues Stern Warning to Patanjali Ayurveda Over Misleading Medical Ads

TFP Bureau, New Delhi; Nov 21,2023: In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court has rebuked Patanjali Ayurveda for its advertisements disparaging modern medicines and vaccinations.

The court has expressly directed Patanjali to refrain from disseminating any misleading information or making false claims, cautioning that substantial penalties will be enforced for non-compliance.

Furthermore, the Supreme Court has urged the Union to present a comprehensive proposal addressing the issue of deceptive medical advertisements.

This pivotal development stems from a petition filed by the Indian Medical Association, prompting the court’s intervention and decisive action against Patanjali’s controversial ads.
