Adani Foundation Launches Mobile Medical Vans to Provide Free Health Services in Villages

Inauguration Marks a Significant Social Initiative by ACC Chilahati Cement Project

TFP Bureau, Bilaspur, Nov 23, 2023: Adani Foundation took a major step towards addressing healthcare needs in the villages surrounding the ACC Chilahati Cement Project by launching mobile medical vans offering free health services. The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday, witnessed the presence of Dr. Ritu Rana, Country Head of HelpAge India, as the chief guest, and Dr. Ashish Shukla, Chief Doctor of Ambuja Hospital, who presided over the program.

The initiative, a crucial element of the social concerns undertaken by ACC Chilahati Cement Project, aims to extend quality healthcare to the residents of 13 gram panchayats, covering villages like Bohardih, Godadih, Bhurkunda, Vidyadih, Tanger, Loharsi, Sasaha, Sodadih, Kevatadih, Saloni, Bharari, Belha, Sukulkari, Jalso, Dhabadih, Kosir, and Jewra.

Adani Foundation has partnered with HelpAge India, a leading healthcare provider in the country, to operate these mobile medical vans. The initiative involves MBBS doctors and trained staff traversing from village to village, assessing health needs, and providing necessary assistance. The Helpage India team conducted patient examinations and distributed free medicines during the inauguration.

Lack of adequate health facilities in these villages has been a concern, but with the introduction of daily first aid services through the mobile medical vans, residents, including children, men, women, and the elderly, will now have access to essential healthcare.

The ACC Chilahati Cement Project has been actively involved in various social programs related to education, health, livelihood promotion, and agricultural development. The introduction of mobile medical vans is expected to significantly benefit the villagers, ensuring not only improved health services but also fostering awareness about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Students Participated in Poster Competition

In another program aligned with the education project by Adani Foundation, a poster competition was organized in the Higher Secondary School of Bohardih village during a cleanliness fortnight program. A total of 40 students participated, and awards were distributed to recognize their outstanding performances.
