The state showcased its rich heritage through captivating performances on the occasion of Chhattisgarh Day, drawing a massive crowd to the IITF amphitheatre.

Chhattisgarh Resident Commissioner Shruti Singh presided over the cultural festivities as the chief guest. The celebration witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, adding to the grandeur of the evening.

Chhattisgarh Pavilion: A Tapestry of Tradition and Progress

Visitors flocked to the Chhattisgarh Pavilion, engaging with skilled craftsmen and artisans. The pavilion, spanning 300 sq feet, hosted 10 stalls, each resonating with this year’s theme, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – emphasizing the idea that the world is one family.

Multifaceted Display of Chhattisgarh’s Progress

Hall No. 2, First Floor housed the Chhattisgarh Pavilion, showcasing the state’s strides in industrial, agricultural, herbal, and handicraft sectors. The exhibition underscored the unique specialties of each region within the state.

Enthralling Cultural Performances Illuminate the Amphitheatre

The cultural festivities kicked off with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by mesmerizing dance performances by cultural troupes. “Amcho Bastar,” a dance paying homage to the ancestral goddess of Bastar, received thunderous applause from the captivated audience.

*Diverse Folk Dances Steal the Show*

Dadariya Song Performance:  A captivating rendition of the traditional Dadariya song echoed through the amphitheatre.

Bhojli Dance: An impassioned performance of Bhojli dance, featuring ‘Gaur dance’ and ‘Gedi dance,’ resonated with the audience, marking the Hareli festival.

Sua Naacha (Parrot Dance): Women artists presented the symbolic ‘Sua Naacha,’ a folk dance associated with Diwali festivities, adding a rhythmic and ritualistic touch.

Panthi Dance: The captivating ritualistic ‘Panthi’ dance, a cherished tradition of the Satnami community, unfolded with grace and tempo, leaving the spectators enchanted.

The fusion of melodious songs, rhythmic dance, and vibrant performances created an enchanting atmosphere, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the attendees.
