TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 2, 2023: Adani Foundation, in collaboration with Adani Power Limited, Raipur, conducted an massive free eye check-up camp on Wednesday in Samoda village, situated in the Arang block of the district. This initiative, undertaken as part of Adani Power Limited’s social responsibilities, aimed to deliver comprehensive eye care to the local population.
Over 400 individuals, including residents of Samoda village and nearby areas such as Arang, Kusmud, Acholi, and Hardai, participated in the camp. The event saw a dedicated team of expert doctors from Raipur’s prestigious M.G.M. Eye Hospital examining the eyes of the attendees. Following the examinations, necessary medications were provided based on individual requirements. Additionally, 153 individuals in need were given free spectacles to enhance their vision.
The program commenced with the presence of key figures such as Mr. Aju Vanse, the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Samoda, Mr. PN Bandhe, Sub-divisional Officer of Water Resources Department, Mahanadi I, Mr. Bhupendra Bais (HR Head of Adani Power Limited), Mr. Indranil Rai Choudhary, Mr. V. Ansari, Mr. Prithviraj Lahiri, Mr. Arpit Manhas, and the Adani Foundation Raikheda team. The event also witnessed active participation from the Mobile Health Care Unit team and local villagers.
Special guidance for organizing the event was provided by Shri S.C. Kakkar, Executive Engineer, Water Resources Department, Mahanadi I. The Sarpanch and villagers expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Adani Foundation for delivering specialized eye treatments, medications, and free spectacles through this significant initiative.
