TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 08, 2023: Following the triumphant victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in three states during the recent assembly elections, the party has refrained from announcing the Chief Ministerial candidates. Despite the lapse of five days since the election results were declared, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan remain shrouded in suspense regarding their future leadership. To address this uncertainty, BJP has appointed observers for two of these states, including Chhattisgarh.
The BJP National Secretary General, Arun Singh, issued a press release today, stating that the Parliamentary Board of the BJP has designated central observers for the election of the party’s legislature party leader in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
The appointed observers are as follows:
1. Rajasthan:
– Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Defense Minister,
– Ms. Saroj Pandey, Rajya Sabha MP
– Shri Vinod Tawde, National General Secretary
2. Madhya Pradesh:
– Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana
– Dr. K. Laxman, National President,OBC Morcha
– Ms. Asha Lakra, National Secretary
3. Chhattisgarh:
– Shri Arjun Munda, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs,
– Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, Waterways, and AYUSH, Government of India
– Shri Dushyant Kumar Gautam, National General Secretary
In Chhattisgarh, where multiple names are under consideration for the CM post, the BJP high command is expected to make the final decision. Notable figures in the discussion include Vishnudev Sai, Gomti Sai, Renuka Singh, Dr. Raman Singh, OP Chaudhary, and Arun Sao.
For Rajasthan, despite the BJP securing a majority, the Chief Ministerial candidate is yet to be determined. Speculation abounds, with several contenders in the race, including Baba Balak Nath, Diya Kumari, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
In Madhya Pradesh, after Shivraj Singh Chauhan, prominent names like Kailash Vijayvargiya, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Prahlad Singh Patel, and VD Sharma are being discussed. These individuals played significant roles during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra in the state, positioning them as potential faces for the Chief Minister’s role. The final decision rests with the BJP leadership.
