Prime Minister Modi to Grace Swearing-In Ceremony of Chhattisgarh’s New Chief Minister and Cabinet Members

TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 11, 2023: In a ceremony graced by the dignified presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the oath-taking event for Chhattisgarh’s new Chief Minister, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, and his cabinet members is scheduled for December 13 at 2 pm. The momentous occasion will unfold at the Science College grounds in the capital city, Raipur.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, BJP National President Shri J.P. Nadda, Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Chhattisgarh state in-charge Mr. Om Mathur, and co-incharge Mr. Nitin Nabin are among the distinguished guests expected to attend.

Preparations in Full Swing

Senior officials took stock of the preparations.

Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are underway at the Government Science College grounds in Raipur, where senior officials inspected the arrangements and provided necessary directions. Former minister and newly elected MLA from Narayanpur Assembly, Mr. Kedar Kashyap, along with MLA Raigarh, Mr. Omprakash Chaudhary, and MLA Balodabazar, Mr. Tankram Verma, also visited the venue to review the preparations.

Three expansive stages are being constructed for the ceremony, with the oath-taking scheduled at the central stage. Separate stages are designated for VIPs and newly elected MLAs. Additionally, distinct sectors are being arranged for special guests, media representatives, and the general public. LED screens will enhance visibility, allowing a broader audience to witness the swearing-in ceremony.

Instructions have been issued to concerned departmental officers, covering stage construction, meeting arrangements, security, parking, electricity, fire brigade, medical facilities, water, and sanitation. Preparations are underway to accommodate over 50 thousand people at the venue, with approximately 1000 police personnel deployed for security. Rigorous checks are ongoing at intersections, bus stands, railway stations, airports, and other key points in Raipur.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Raipur Collector Mr. Sarveshwar Bhure, SSP Mr. Prashant Agarwal, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Abinash Mishra, and other officers were present.
