TFP Bureau, Raipur; Dec 17, 2023: In a tragic incident on December 17, 2023, at 7 am, an encounter took place between the CRPF 165th Battalion’s company Ursangal and Naxalites. The operation occurred in Bedre under Jagargunda, resulting in the martyrdom of Sub Inspector Sudhakar Reddy and injuries to Constable Ramu, who is being airlifted for further treatment.
The brave Sub Inspector Sudhakar Reddy lost his life during the encounter, displaying the valiant efforts of security forces in the ongoing fight against Naxalism. Constable Ramu sustained injuries from a bullet, and immediate medical attention was provided before arranging his airlift for specialized treatment.
Upon combing the surrounding area, the police apprehended four suspects, and an extensive search operation is underway, jointly conducted by CRPF, Cobra, and District Force.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai expressed his deep condolences for the martyrdom of Sub Inspector Sudhakar Reddy, acknowledging the sacrifice made in the line of duty. The Chief Minister saluted the bravery of the security forces and extended condolences to the family of the fallen hero.
In response to the incident, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai conducted a high-level meeting, attended by senior officers, including the Chief Secretary and DGP. The anti-Naxal campaign was thoroughly reviewed, emphasizing the need to intensify efforts in the fight against Naxalism. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to provide all possible assistance to the families of the martyrs and urged the DGP to personally monitor the situation.
In his address, Chief Minister Sai declared that violence is a manifestation of the Naxalites’ desperation and emphasized winning the people’s trust through developmental initiatives. He affirmed the commitment to eradicate Naxalism with the support of the Central Government, demonstrating a resilient stand against the threat posed by extremists.
